Pave This Road
Dear City of Atlanta,
Please pave Bellemeade Avenue. This high-traffic, two-lane bus route connects Howell Mill to Northside Drive and is in dire need of paving. This road is riddled with broken asphalt, puddles and potholes. Let’s be honest, there are better roads in Afghanistan. There have been many futile efforts by the city to patch the bad spots, but this road seems to get worse every day. It’s time to put some tax money to work and pave this highly used 1/2 mile stretch of road. Unfortunately, there’s no easy method to submit roads to get re-paved on the City of Atlanta’s website. The Report a Pothole service is inadequate at best. Nevertheless, I’m sure that Atlanta’s high-paid team of diligent researches will find my plea and resolve this issue in a timely manner.
So, the very next week after this post was published the City of Atlanta patched a few of these potholes. They didn’t manage to find enough sense to pave the entire road, but I’d like to think I helped initiate a response.
