DJ Touch Screen Interface

It’s rare that a multitouch app truly excites me beyond mere novelty. GREG WERK has concepted and designed the next generation DJ interface using a multitouch light table. The light table DJ setup is controlled by sophisticated hand gestures to produce a simplified DJ experience. Aside from the well designed interface, I also admire the [...]

Expand you music library ♫

When you’re done searching Pitchfork, Alarm, iTunes or Last.fm for legitimate music, where do you go for good music? Inspirational Music Studios

ExperiBass

Diego Stocco came up with a quadruple-neck experimental instrument called “Experibass”.  To play it he uses cello and double bass bows, a device built with fishing line and hose clamps, a paintbrush, a fork, spoons, a kick drum pedal and a drum stick. Very cool!

Paco Rouge: take 1 + remix

Here is a demo of a little song I wrote called “Paco Rouge”. This song is a latin-inspired acoustic jam. It’s helpful for me to record a few trial demos to really get a song down before setting up a formal studio session. This demo only includes a few layered acoustic guitar tracks. It needs [...]

Synesthesia

Synethesia is defined as: A neurologically based phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. This sensation is beautifully conceived in the short film Synethesia created by the directing duo Ian Kibbey and Corey Creasey, known collectively as Teri Timely. This [...]
